Everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY, Loves Jelly!

Bramalodge Billie Jean is a third generation homebred bitch and we absolutely adore her! Suffice to say in our eyes she is not far from perfection. But we are definately biased! And she certainly isn’t perfect!

Jelly has taken on the best attributes of personality from both her parents. Gentle, kind, loving, bold, playful and calm, polite and trainable. She is just a sweetheart who steals everyone’s hearts. Don’t be mistaken though, the working drive is strong and she is a great tracker who can be wilful and determined!

Conformationally she has a great level top line which doesn’t fluctuate on the move, long elegant neck, excellent hind limb angulation, the right size and proportions bodily and lovely straight and pretty movement on good feet with bounce! A real showgirl as one judge commented! And that face! She has a wonderful strong harsh coat with clear definition between her top and under coats, and has her dads beautiful dark boar colouring.

Jelly had a brief but successful show career as a puppy with some good wins, and great critiques, including a puppy group 4 but we were sadly cut short by Covid. My favourite comment from a judge “A real Showgirl” will always stay with me as she truly loved the ring.

In her brief returns to the ring, she has qualified for CRUFTS annually without difficulty.

Having had one litter by Brumberhill Mr Wilks and another by Freddy, we are now waiting and planning a third (and last)from which we will keep a baby girl.

Jelly has passed her heart and eye tests with no issues and she has a lovely IDC Grade 1 (only 1 calcified disc) in her back scoring.

Her father Kissdachs Bilbao was also IDC 1 (with 2 calcifications) and her mother was IDC 2 (with 4) - although not entirely predictable (in fact -more like genetic roulette) this is a nice example of a moderately higher and a lower back score mating, resulting in a lower back score in the offspring. If only we could guarantee it!
