Bernie is now 3 years old I am really pleased with her. She has some lovely qualities of type and temperament. Gentle, kind and easy. Good bone and movement with nice proportions. She has been to shows and behaved impeccably. But I can’t show everyone and as a result Bernie, not being as good as some of the others for the ring, has taken a back seat.

She has now been fully health tested: heart, eyes and back score (IDC Grade 2 with 3 calcifications). We are delighted that she passed all with good results and as such we are hoping to breed from her in 2025/26. We will be looking for a dog to compliment her conformation and hopefully to improve her front-end assembly which is her weakest point. I hope we can find a health tested male to fit the bill. But as there are still so few dogs out there being health tested, we may have settle for the fact that we have all the results on one side of the mating with her. Time will tell. If she does get in pup though, I am sure she will have the most wonderful kind, gentle and easy babies. Also, that she will be a truly wonderful mum.

Currently Bernie is lucky enough to live with her mum Diva in long term foster with my friend, Emily and her annoying Cavalier King Charles pal (Ziggy)
