A lovely sort with temperament to match. A Dual purpose bitch with quality enough to qualify for Crufts 2016 and superb working ability. But most importantly an absolutely lovely lady to have around all day who passes her charming personality and temperament on to her babies. Exceptionally good coat with strong straight movement and great expression. Wonderful mother, having had a litters now by by CH Sunsong Whisper a Promise, Bramalodge Bravac Boris and Kissdachs Bilbao @ Bramalodge. Alice will have one more litter with us if all goes well and then will retire in the lap of luxury she is accustomed to!

Bramalodge Betsy Button

Date of Birth: 21st May 2017

Colour: Wild Boar

Sire: CH Sunsong Whisper a Promise

Dam: Bramalodge Alice

SPECIAL BEGINNER DACHSHUND OF THE YEAR 2019 with The Dachshund Club

Button is just wonderful. A beautiful bitch in every way and stunning on the move. She has great ground coverage, good length of neck, strong keel and excellent balance of proportions. Strong, powerful and stocky with an adorable expression. A second generation bitch for BRAMALODGE. Shown successfully achieving best puppy at WELKS 2017 and Best Bitch Puppy at CRUFTS 2018. Not shown early 2018/19 season much due to human health issues but qualified multiple times CRUFTS 2019. On coming out late in 2019 Betsy proved herself unbeaten in all her PGB classes entered and took 2 reserve CC’s. She is still out showing but moved up to limit and she will of course be out at CRUFTS 2020 to strut her stuff.

Now a mummy to six little buttons, Betsy is taking time out from showing. We plan to have a second litter from her in the future and can’t wait to see them all grow.

Obviously she will take a little while to recover from the first ones and regain her figure. It will be at least 18 months before we expect her to suffer motherhood again!

Time will tell if she returns to the show ring. She lost her ‘love of the buzz’ a little and we strongly believe they should only show when they enjoy it as much as we do. I really hope next time we venture out she has regained her sparkle as she is such a pleasure to take out’

Bramalodge Billie Jean AKA Jelly

Date of Birth: 28th April 2019

Colour: Black and Tan Brindle

Sire: Kissdachs Bilbao @ Bramalodge

Dam: Bramalodge Alice

Everybody...and I mean EVERYBODY... Loves Jelly!

Bramalodge Billie Jean is a third generation homebred bitch out of our own Bramalodge Alice by imported dog Kissdachs Bilbao and we absolutely adore her! Suffice to say in our eyes she is not

far from perfection. Jelly has taken on the best attributes of personality from both her parents. Gentle, kind, loving, bold, playful and calm, polite and trainable. She is just a sweetheart who steals everyone’s

hearts. Dont be mistaken though, the working drive is strong and she is a great tracker who can be wilful and determined!

Conformationally she has a great level top line which does’nt fluctuate on the move, long elegant neck, excellent hind limb angulation, the right size and proportions bodily and lovely straight and

pretty movement on good feet with bounce! A real showgirl as one judge commented! And that face! She has a wonderful strong harsh coat with clear definition between her top and under coats, has

her dads beautiful colouring.

Jelly had a brief but successful show career early on with some good wins, sadly cut short by Covid.

She has just had her first litter by the wonderful Brumberhill Mr Wilks and we hope she can gether figure back and get dancing round the ring again soon.

Bramalodge French Kiss

Date of Birth: 28th September 2021

Colour: Chocolate and Tan

Sire: Kissdachs Cuba Libre at Bramalodge

Dam: Bramalodge Betsy Button

‘Twix’ is third generation home bred and we are delighted with her. She is testimony to our determination to improve the coat and limbs/feet of our wires without compromising on other conformation. Not perfect, but there's no such thing as the perfect dog! She is very lovely, incredible coat type with more facial furnishings on the way, tight strong feet and loads of bone. She moves like a dream, straight back, excellent engine and drive and a clean straight forelimb. She is a gentle tempered girl who loves the cuddles and attention. Very vocal and opinionated she can’t be said to blend into the background.

She has an incredible nose and loves to work the woodland and moors, even at such a young age.

We are late to the party showing her as she isn’t a fan of crowds and being on the table. This is a shame as I think she will do well in the ring. But getting her confidence is of primary importance. Lots of training classes and patience is on the menu.

I am incedibly excited at the prospect of getting her out soon though.... im sure shes worth the wait. Watch this space....

Kissdachs Diva at Bramalodge

Date of Birth: 29th June 2020

Colour: Wild Boar

Sire: Dachjager Xantus

Dam: Kissdachs Arabica Best

Diva.. Deave the Weave... Weable... Weavy...

An imported girl from my friend Henrietta Kiss in Hungary. And what an absolute sweetheart and a star she is.

A covid baby with very limited exposure and nervous on the table as a result. But showed herself at her very best and did me proud to get 2nd in Junior at Crufts 2022. Standing second only To Rowes Spice, who achieved outstanding accolades in her first year. SO in my book we had a damned good second place...that blue ribbon has invisible red tails!

Diva is the kindest and sweetest soul, full on and bouncy, plenty of energy and drive. A real pocket rocket at only 9.5kg Lovely shape and movement.

So pleased I bought her and with how she’s turning out. I can’t wait to see her babies by Cuba inthe next few weeks!

Kissdachs Cuba Libre @ Bramalodge

Date of Birth: 26th June 2020

Colour: Dark Black and Tan Wild Boar

Sire: Lekoll Bobbi Sharm Shadow of your Smile

Dam: Kissdachs Amina a Dream

Cuba is just a gentleman in every way. We are finding he passes his impeccable temperament and all his physical attributes onto his progeny.

A bonus if you like the brown ones...He also carries the chocolate gene! (your bitch will also need to carry chocolate to have a chance of getting chocolate puppies) Father to Twix - Bramalodge French Kiss

So far he has proven a successful stud with excellent fertility. Nice balanced, healthy litters, good sized puppies.

He has an amazing strong needle like coat with a clear double coat that strips well. A very dark Black and Tan Wild Boar in colour with quality Furnishing. Wire all over, right down to his toes, chest and tummy. Velvety ears and the most adorable face. With great hind limb angulation and substantial bone. Strong, tight and big feet. He moves straight and true but is neither flamboyant nor exaggerated. Not too deep, with good ground clearance, but having excellent lung and heart room. He is a well proportioned dog for the breed standard and weighs in at a very desirable 11kg.Available for Stud to approved bitches

Luna Eclipse at Bramalodge

Date of Birth: 11th July 2019

Colour: Wild Boar

Sire: Kissdachs Bilbao @ Bramalodge

Dam: Dazzling Stormy Daisy

Tuna Fish.... Luna Tuna... Toons of Glory... Glorious fish..... My lovely sweet girl. She really is the odd one out. She is a character all on her own... and those eyebrows!

I bought her as she was too lovely to leave when we went to view our first outside litter by Bilbao. And she was tiny, now she's a big girl and a big personality. But she hates showing. Tuna has had one litter of puppies for me. The last litter by Cadbury, Sunsong Whisper a Promise. And what a stunning lot they are. Now just over a year old they are nearly all show quality and Bramalodge Bonfire Heart who I kept back to show myself, but in the end had to let go as time and health forced my hand, has done very well in the ring as a puppy.

Toons is really just a bonkers pet and cuddle monster. Makes a lot of chatter and hustles everyone. but she is unbelievably kind, loyal, gentle and sweet. Big fishes breeding is excellent so I am very much hoping her next litter in the Autumn of 2022 will be at least as good as the last, and we'll be keeping one of these for sure! But who will be the daddy?!

Bramalodge Bernadette “Bernie”

Date of Birth: 27th May 2022

Bernie is now nearly 8 months old and is turning out to be delightful. I am really pleased with her. From our imported couple.. Cuba and Diva and showing some lovely qualities of type and temperament. Gentle, kind and easy. Good bone and movement with nice proportions. She has been to one show and behaved impeccably, I am looking forward to next year with her. Not the best photos, taken as a 4 month old baby, but you can really see she has a lot to like. She is now much hairier and due her first full strip. Definately shown in ‘her natural state’ but the movement is good and I couldn’t have asked for her to behave any better! New photos to follow in the not too distant future I hope!
